Which Hot Star Should Play Christian Grey in the “50 Shades” Film?

It is official! The New York Times bestseller Fifty Shades of Grey will be adapted into film. On March 26^th, it was announced that Universal Pictures and Focus Features bought the rights for the film adaptation. American Psycho writer Bret Easton Ellis has expressed his desire to write the screenplay. But the big question is who will play the leading roles? Before voting, here is some background info on the male protagonist, Christian Grey.

Grey is a young, handsome, intelligent, business oriented, and charming man. He is filthy rich and is constantly described as a control freak. He quotes himself as “fifty shades of f*cked up.” He comes from humble upbringings, and before he was adopted, he underwent several traumatic experiences which caused him to grow up into a man full of bizarre habits, such as the fear of being physically touched (one of the main reasons he ties up his submissives). His love interest in the series is Anastasia Steele. Which of these hot young stars do you think would be a perfect fit for the role of Christian Grey in the upcoming, “Fifty Shades of Grey” Film?

1. Collins Egglesfield- Egglesfield is an Irish-American actor who is 39 years old and his recent work includes from the 2011 film Something Borrowed and the current television series The Client List, opposite Jennifer Love Hewitt. Do you think this stud is too old to play the 27-year old billionaire? His gorgeous eyes is what does it for us, right ladies?

2. Chase Crawford- Aside being close to Mr. Grey’s actual age, the 26-year old Gossip Girl actor has the infamous eyes and copper hair that the character has. Do you think that the underrated actor could bring the character alive on the silver screen?

3. Chris Hemsworth- The 28-year old actor is best known for his role as Thor in the film named after Thor himself and the blockbuster hit The Avengers. Hemsworth seems to have the proper assets as Mr. Grey from the hypnotizing eyes, built-frame and sensual voice. Do you think Hemsworth has what it takes to play the part?

4. Ryan Gosling- Gosling’s gaze and strong jaw line which attributes his infamous smolder may be the perfect ingredients to cook up the perfect Mr. Grey. His recent works include Drive and Crazy, Stupid, Love. He made us fall in love with him inThe Notebook, do you think he can do it again in Fifty Shades of Grey?

5. Henry Cavill- Casted as the role as Superman in the upcoming 2013 film Man of Steel, Cavill fits the description that of Mr. Grey. He was also featured in the film Immortals as the main role of Theseus and in the TV hit series, The Tudors. So we all know Cavill’s body will be prepped to fit Mr. Grey’s suits, wouldn’t you say?

6.Iam Somerhalder- Many believe that The Vampire Diaries star is the front-runner for the role of Christian Grey. With his mischievous smirk and grey eyes, many people believe he will be able to portray the sweet side and that notorious dark side of Mr. Grey. What do you ladies think?

7. Chris Evans- His most recent role includes playing Captain America, in the film Captain America and The Avengers. Do you think he will be able to capture the complexity of Mr. Grey? Will he bring justice to the role and act the part?

8. Chris Pine- The 31-year old actor is best noted for his role in Star Trek (2009) as James T. Kirk. His eyes speak for themselves along with his copper-toned hair. Do you think Pine will be able to use his good looks to win the role of Mr. Grey?

9. Alexander Skarkgard- The 35- year old Swedish actor has ladies buzzing as to who should play the role. We all know he will be able to play the bad-boy, leather wearing ruthless personality with his role in HBO’s True Blood. He recently appeared in Straw Dogs and as a Navy Commanding Officer in Battleship, so we know his body is ready for the role. Do you think he is too old to play Mr. Grey?

10. Matt Bomer- Bomer seems to be my prime candidate for the role of Mr. Grey. His aesthetics say it all! We know he will be able to look lovely in a suit as we seen him in his TV hit White Collar. His beautiful eyes along with his stare are what sold me. What’s the verdict ladies?

11. Robert Pattinson- Of course Twilight fans all over the world would like to see Robert Pattinson play the lead role ofFifty Shades of Grey. Don’t you think he is overused and someone new should be able to shine for the new role? He’s done his share of shining in the Twilight series; perhaps someone else can take the spotlight in this one. What do we think ladies?

12. Taylor Kitsch- The 31-year old Canadian actor is known for his roles in the NBS’s TV hit Friday Night Lights, Gambit in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and also appeared in John Carter and Battleship. No doubt he can play bad-boy Christian Grey, but do you think the role should be awarded to a low-key actor who can use this opportunity to shine?

I know we haven't seen Chase this way before but I definitely think he has the acting skills in him to play the part. He's sexy with a bit of devious in him. This will be a great challenge for him and I look forward to seeing him meet it.

Wow, so many handsome men to choose from! I can't pick one, but I'd have to say Collins Egglesfield and Matt Bomer. The moment I look at both of these guys, I think Grey :-)

I wonder who will play Anastasia... I really hope it's not Kristen Stewart

Chris Evans should play Mr. Grey he is a hottie with beautiful eyes and a great body! i think Anastasia should be Ashley Greene she looks super simple and cute at the same time she can be really sexy..thats just my opinion..

I pesonaly think the men they are looking at are too old looking. Mr.grey is only 27 yrs old. kellan Lutz has the gorgeous body, the intense sexy look. I can really picture him being seductive and Channing Tatum well he has it all. i think he is one of the sexiest men alive.
