Just as my amazing birthday getaway was about to end, my husband and I were at the LAX checking in to our flight back to NY when we spotted one of my favorite actresses from BET's hit show, "Let's Stay Together"- Joyful Drake!

She was colorfully dressed in a coral spandex tube top and white leggings. She wore huge shades but she couldn't disguise herself from me! Her wavy hair was pulled up into a mini-hump and her skin looked flawless. Her teeth were white to perfection and her body was in tip top shape. Even on her downtime, she looked like every bit of the star she is!

Joyful is known for movies like "Phat Girlz", " Beauty Shop", "Get Him to The Greek" and plays the role of Tasha Woodson on "Let's Stay Together"- housewife of the character Jamal Woodson and a mother of twins (like me!). Her character is sassy, flyy, and a whole lot of egotistical fun! She's well dressed, classy, edgy, and a little bit spoiled but you gotta love her! Her look today closely portrayed that of her character.

We exchanged a few words as we officially met at the terminal gift shop. She was accompanied by a tall handsome dark skinned man, her main squeeze or her MANager I suppose...

Joyful mentioned she was in Los Angeles for the BET Awards, not as a presenter but as a spectator and a supporter. She was very pleasant in meeting me and revealed that she and her beau were off to Las Vegas for an intimate vacation. Exciting!

We also asked her about her hit show and she was happy to confirm that BET picked up "Let's Stay Together" for a 3rd season along with another season of "The Game". Despite the actors, Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall getting axed because of their salary demands, the show will still go on! We discussed some new actors possibly taking their place- one top pick being Lauren London. That's definitely a good look!

What a wonderful random encounter. And I'm happy to know that Tuesdays nights on BET will continue on...
